As the finale to their first year of Drama education at the Academy, this week saw all year 7 students working collaboratively towards a performance of Alice in Wonderland.

Lewis Carroll’s vibrant and twisted tale was brought to life by the students with colour, energy and vibrancy all in abundance. Supported by Drama staff, each class had time in the morning to prepare their own interpretation of one chapter of the story. Following this, it permitted the year as a whole to then present each chapter in order which ultimately told the entire story as one piece of theatre.

The challenge on an individual to perform to the rest of their year group is no small one. Despite this the students remained positive, resilient and supportive of their peers throughout. All the staff involved are incredibly proud of what students were able to achieve with the day ending in prize giving for those students deserving of specific honours.
