Wednesday 10th February – Best day yet!!

Started off really cold in the morning, fingers and toes were freezing, but the sun was out by mid-morning which took the chill off.

The progression today was astonishing with all beginners confidently skiing down blue runs and starting to master parallel turns and stops. Everybody came off the slopes with huge smiles on their faces and a feeling of satisfaction at what they had actually achieved. Apres ski was a pizza night in Aosta Town, rich in monuments from pre-historical, Roman and medieval times. We visited the Praetoria Gate, one of the few examples from Roman times still perfectly intact and the magnificent Augustus’ Arch.
