Cheshire Cross Country Trials: Saturday 1st February 2020
First of all, a big thank you to Miss Devaney and Mr Hunt for giving up their time on Saturday morning to help set up and marshal the county cross country trials held at Knights Grange, Winsford.

Students from across the entire borough ran in their respective age group races. Three academy students who qualified to run in the district trials in October performed well on the day. Liam Buckley from Year 11 finished in the top 30 runners in the Inter boys’ race and has really taken to running over the last few years.

The Hudson sisters once again did the academy proud finishing in the top 10 places in their respective races. Darcy Hudson from year 8 was running in the junior girl’s race (made up of year 8’s and year 9’s) finished 8th , whilst Ellie from year 10 was running in the inter girls’ race (made up of year 10’s and year 11’s) finished 5th. Both girls now go on to represent Cheshire at the north of England event later this year. Well done!
